Water Safety

1. No Booze during event. 
   
   
2. Night lighting per coast guard rules should show. On most boats with bright lights an individual should be in the bow area to assist the helmsman due to the poor visibility.
    
3. Enter course after 5:00 pm ; turn on display lights when cannon goes off for the best effect.
    
4. Max speed 5 MPH, counterclockwise around center line of lights.
    
   
5. Maintain good spacing between boats.
    
6. Follow route shown on map. Get in close to seawall for best view of boats by people on shore. Duck into area near boat hoist, Blue Moon Saloon, Redondo Sport fishing pier, Seaside Lagoon and Portifino Pavilion.
    
7. Do not slow down, do a 360 decree turn or get too close to boat in front of you on any part of the route.
   
   
8. Good luck and put on a good show for the viewers.
    
9. To make a “spectacular” start, please do not turn on your lights until after the cannon sounds! Start carefully circling counter clockwise- only running lights- anytime after 5:00pm .  

5:30 PM -After cannon sounds- LIGHTS ON!!
